Frequently asked questions
Do I need an internet connection?
No. All learning content is bundled with the app, so every feature works even in airplane mode.
Pronunciation does not play
The pronunciation feature uses the text-to-speech engine built into your device. Please check the following:
- Whether the volume is turned down or the device is in silent mode
- Whether the voice data for the language you are studying is installed. On iPhone you can add voices under Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices
You can adjust the reading speed in the app under Settings → Speech rate.
Where is my learning data stored?
Only on your device. It is never transmitted to external servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I clear all my weak-point marks?
In the app, go to Settings → Reset weak-point marks to clear every marked item at once.
How do I delete all of my learning data?
Deleting the app from your device also deletes your learning data. Because the data exists only on your device, it cannot be restored afterwards.
How do I change the languages I study?
In the app, go to Settings → Change language pair to choose a different combination of your native and target languages.
